The Centralia Foundation administers scholarships funds provided by individuals. A Scholarship committee oversees that the wishes and guidelines of the benefactor are fulfilled. Selection committees insure that the criteria are met to award scholarships to appropriate recipients. 

Currently the Centralia Foundation oversees 19 scholarship funds valued at over seven million dollars. The Foundation annually distributes over $190,000 in scholarships.

It is the generosity of these benefactors that enable students from this area to achieve their goal of higher learning. With advanced estate planning, you can have a positive impact on the future of our younger generation. The Centralia Foundation welcomes your charitable gift or bequest.

Rollen & Lecta Rae Robinson Scholarship Fund [Application]
Grants are awarded to students from Odin and Sandoval High School for continued higher learning.

Madge E. Riechman Scholarship Fund
Lillian May Harris Fund
Fred L. Wham Jr. & Grace J. Wham Fund [Application]
Grants are awarded to graduates of Centralia High School for continuing education.

Elizabeth L. Edwards Scholarship Fund [Application]
Funds are awarded to graduates of Centralia High School and Kaskaskia College to obtain degrees in the medical, business and education fields.

Paul W. and Jean Zimmerman Rau Scholarship [Application]
Funds are provided to graduates of Centralia High School who pursue a business degree at Kaskaskia College.

Hazel Bledsoe Memorial Scholarship Fund [Application]
Centralia High School graduates majoring in Consumer Science may receive funds.

Marian Ruth Bude Scholarship Fund [Application]
Must be a graduate of Trinity Lutheran Elementary School in Centralia and Centralia High School or any Lutheran high school.

Fred L. Wham Jr. and Grace J. Wham Fund Nursing Scholarship [Application]
Must be a graduate of Centralia High School and pursing a nursing degree at Kaskaskia College.

American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship Fund [Application]
Must be a United States of America citizen, graduating high school senior or GED recipient and be a resident of Marion, Clinton, Jefferson or Washington County. Preference is given to an honorably discharged veteran or descendant of such a veteran of the armed forces of the United States.

Jerry & Rosemary Wilson Scholarship Fund [Application]
Must be a graduate of Centralia High School and preference shall be given to students attending Kaskaskia College.

Robert D. & Donna Quick Scholarship Fund [Application]
Must be a graduate of either Centralia, Salem or Odin High School, or a student or graduate of Kaskaskia College.

Hall Medical Scholarship [Application]
Must reside in the Centralia High School District and be pursuing a degree in any profession within the field of medicine.

Hall Business Scholarship [Application]
Must reside in the Centralia High School District and be pursuing a degree in the field of business.

Edward F. Stephens, Jr. and Ruth A. Schwartz Scholarship Fund [Application]
Grants are awarded to third-year medical students.

Vaughn-Gardner Scholarship Fund [Application]
Grant is awarded to one student attending Kaskaskia College.

James P. and Martha Maulding Eggers Endowed STEM Scholarship [Application]
Applicants must pursue a course of study in a STEM subject area (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), or a course of study to become an educator in one of those areas and be working toward a degree.
